a moment of silence

Meet Angela Embry Jr.

Angela Embry Jr., beloved wife, mother, daughter, aunt, and friend, passed away on September 18, 2025, at the age of 32. Though quiet to those who did not know her, Angela's presence was powerful-her humor, warmth, and radiant smile lit up every room she entered. To those closest to her, she was known by many cherished names-Moo Moo, Gorgeous, Moody, Gi, Little Angie, and Beast Mode to name a few-each one a reflection of the love and joy she brought into the lives of others.

Angela was devoted above all else to her family. She spent countless hours playing, laughing, and creating lasting memories with her three children. She poured love into her role as a wife, mother, and aunt, always present when she was needed most. Her laughter was infectious, her smile contagious, and her embrace a true sense of home.

Beyond her family, Angela's life was defined by service, dedication, and community impact. She joined the Louisville Metro Police Department in 2020 and was sworn in as an officer on February 12, 2021.

During her career, she received multiple commendations for outstanding service and her commitment to going above and beyond the call of duty. She embodied courage, compassion, and integrity, leaving a lasting mark on the city she served and the colleagues who worked alongside her.

Angela also carried her passion for connection into her everyday life. She loved working out, supporting her nieces and nephews, playing football, and sharing joy through laughter and friendship. Whether on the field, at a family gathering, or in her community, Angela was a source of strength, encouragement, and light.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, empathy, and kindness-a legacy that will continue to ripple through the countless lives she touched.

Angela was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Patricia Jean Harvey and Sandra Louise Anderson, and her father, Michael LaRoy Teasley. She is survived by her loving wife, Chelsye Embry; her three children, Katherine, Paris, and Angelo; her mother, Angela Embry Sr.; 20 siblings, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and colleagues who will carry her memory forward with honor and love.

Angela's life was a testament to devotion-devotion to her family, to her community, and to spreading light wherever she went. She will forever be remembered as a beacon of strength, joy, and compassion.
